Students’ Perception during Negotiation of Meaning in Unfocused and Focused Tasks

چکیده

This current study aimed to determine the students’ perception of using unfocused and focused tasks. The design was qualitative. subjects were 10 medical students UPT Balai Bahasa Universitas Malahayati. data collected through speaking tests questionnaires. test administrated. utterances will be recorded described. analyzed in which types negotiation meaning are done by speakers.The results research showed that student's perception, open-ended interview method at measuring perceptions tasks served as instrument. two indicated task enjoyable most students, yet they failed get input for development their language quality because during more on meaning. Moreover, higher proficiency do. Hence, it could inferred not suitable lower proficiency.
